AURA Reflex — free reaction time test and reflex trainer
AURA Reflex is a free browser tool that measures reaction time and trains it with three short drills. F1 Lights reproduces a Formula 1 start: five red lights come on one per second, hold for a random 0.2 to 3 seconds and go out, and you tap as fast as you can; a tap before the lights go out is a jump start and voids the attempt, and five valid attempts give an average, a best and a consistency figure. Target Rush is thirty seconds of coloured circles popping up at random positions, scored on how fast each one is tapped, with ten levels that shrink the circles and shorten their lifetime. Go/No-Go uses the same arena but only green circles may be tapped, so it trains the ability to withhold a response as much as speed. Times are measured on the device between the stimulus and the touch, so the numbers also reflect your screen and input latency, which is why the tool compares you with yourself first: a personal best line, a sparkline of the last thirty sessions and a training level per drill are kept on the device with no account. Signed-in users additionally get a row on the daily and all-time leaderboards. It is a training and entertainment tool, not a clinical or neurological test.

Frequently asked questions
Is the reaction time test free?
Yes. All three drills, the ten levels and the personal statistics work without an account or download. A free account is only needed for the leaderboard.
What is a good reaction time?
For a simple visual stimulus most adults average around 250 milliseconds on a phone or laptop; consistently under 200 ms is very fast. The tool labels bands from warm-up to F1-driver reflexes as motivation, but the meaningful comparison is with your own previous sessions on the same device.
Why does my time change between devices?
The measurement runs on the device, so display refresh rate, touch sampling and browser latency all add to it. Compare runs on the same device, and use the consistency figure rather than a single lucky tap.
Does AURA Reflex pay AuraCoins?
No. Reaction times are measured on the device and cannot be verified server-side, so reflex sessions never award AuraCoins, XP or prizes. The leaderboard is for bragging rights only.
Is this a medical or cognitive test?
No. It is a training and entertainment tool. It does not diagnose attention, neurological or any other condition, and it should not be used to make health decisions.
