AURA Here — a safety net for people who live alone and for families

AURA Here is a safety net for people who live alone and for families who want to know their people are fine without calling all the time. You choose how many hours without any sign of life are too many, from 1 to 72. When that time passes, AURA Here first asks you "Are you OK?". If you do not answer, it alerts the Guardians you invited, and one of them can take the alert on so the others know someone is handling it. On the web you check in with one long press on "I'm here", and opening AURA counts too; the Android app, coming soon on Google Play, adds automatic signals from steps, unlocks and charging. AURA Here is not an emergency service and does not replace 112 or 911.

Why use AURA Here

You are asked first, not your family

Every check starts with a question to you: "Are you OK?", then a reminder 15 minutes later. Only if nobody answers within the time you chose do your Guardians get an alert. A forgotten phone stays a private moment instead of a family alarm, and any signal that arrives later closes the alert as a false alarm for everyone.

Guardians who take the alert

You invite up to 3 Guardians for free with a link you can send on WhatsApp, Telegram or SMS. They are alerted by push and email, see when your last signal arrived and how much battery the phone had, and one of them taps "I'm on it" so nobody wonders whether someone else already called.

A family mode for teenagers out of the house

A parent invites a son or daughter, chooses a short check such as every 2 hours, and knows they are fine from the phone being used, without calling or texting. The teenager sees who watches over them and can stop at any time, and the parent is told when that happens.

SOS, position and emergency packet only when needed

One SOS alerts every Guardian at once with your exact position if you turned position sharing on. Your emergency packet — spare keys, pets, medication, doctor, a number to call — and your last known position are shown to Guardians only while an alert is open, and never outside of one.

How to set up AURA Here

  1. 1

    Choose your check time

Open AURA Here and pick a preset: "I live alone" checks after 24 hours, "Family" every 2 hours. Set your quiet hours so no check ever falls while you sleep: a check that lands at night moves to 30 minutes after you wake up.

  2. 2

    Invite your Guardians

Send an invite link to a relative, a friend or a neighbour. They can watch over you, or you can protect each other both ways. The first circle is alerted first; if nobody takes the alert within 30 minutes, everyone is.

  3. 3

    Check in when you want

Hold "I'm here" for under a second, or simply open AURA. Pause the protection for up to 14 days when you travel, go into hospital or have a guest at home.

  4. 4

    Fill in the emergency packet

Write what a Guardian should know only in an emergency: where the spare keys are, who feeds the cat, your medication, your doctor, a number to call. Saving it always asks for your explicit consent.

Frequently asked questions

What is AURA Here?

AURA Here is a safety net for people who live alone and for families. If your phone gives no sign of life for longer than the time you chose, it asks you first if you are OK, and if you do not answer it alerts the Guardians you invited, who can take the alert on and see your last signal, battery and emergency packet.

Is AURA Here an emergency service?

No. AURA Here is not an emergency service and does not replace 112, 911 or any local emergency number. It alerts the people you chose; it never calls emergency services for you. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number.

How much does AURA Here cost?

AURA Here is free: checks, alerts, SOS, position sharing and the emergency packet are free for everyone. AURA Here Plus, €2.99 a month or €24.99 a year and included in AURA Premium, only widens the circle: up to 10 Guardians and 15 people you watch over, alerts kept for a year instead of 90 days, and one Plus covers the people in your circle too.

Does AURA Here track my location?

No continuous tracking. Your position is sent only when you press "I'm here" or SOS and only if you turned position sharing on, and Guardians can see it only while an alert is open. Without an open alert nobody, Guardians included, can read it.

How does AURA Here know I am fine?

On the web, a long press on "I'm here" or opening AURA counts as a sign of life. The Android app, coming soon on Google Play, will add automatic signals from steps, screen unlocks and charging, so you do not have to remember anything.
