AURA Life Lab compares your last 7 days with your usual, shows which of your habits tend to go with better mood or energy, and asks you to confirm what feels real. It runs on your device, shows its numbers and never claims a cause or a diagnosis. Free.
AURA Life Lab — see what changed in your week and what usually goes with it
AURA Life Lab answers a question dashboards leave open: I know what happened, but why did my week feel different? It compares your last seven days of mood, energy, habits and journaling with your own usual level, names the one to three changes that are big enough to matter, and then looks for habits that tend to go with a better or worse mood or energy on the same day or the day after. Every number comes from a fixed calculation on what you already log in Aura, not from a model, and the analysis runs on your device. It reports associations, never causes: a pattern needs at least eight days with and eight days without the habit before it is even shown, and you decide whether it feels related. Your answer is the feedback loop, and a pattern you reject stays hidden for ninety days. It can also compare your sleep, from the Blackout sleep log, and the days you walk with AURA Walk, and lets you test a pattern with a seven-day experiment. If you have no pattern yet, you can start from a fixed list of starter experiments, such as a daily walk or a few journal lines, each checked against data Aura already stores. Steps from AURA Walk and, if you turned on AURA Sense history, its stress estimate also count as changes.
Why use AURA Life Lab
Changes are measured against your last four weeks, not against an average person, so a quiet week does not look like a problem and a real dip does not hide.
With too little data, or no difference worth noting, Life Lab says so instead of inventing an insight.
Each pattern asks whether it feels related. Confirmed patterns build your personal map, and rejected ones stop coming back.
The analysis runs on your device on data already in the app, you choose which sources it may read, and only your answers are saved to your account.

Frequently asked questions
What is a personal pattern tracker?
A personal pattern tracker looks for regularities in what you log about yourself, such as which habits tend to go with better energy the next day. AURA Life Lab does this on your mood, energy, habit and journal records, and presents each result as an association you can accept or reject.
Does Life Lab prove that a habit improves my mood?
No. It shows that two things tended to happen together in your own logs, which is a correlation, not a cause. Many things change at once in a real week, so each pattern is a prompt to notice, not proof, and it is never medical advice. To test one yourself, run a seven-day experiment: Life Lab compares that week with the 28 days before it and calls the result a hint, never proof.
How much data does AURA Life Lab need?
About fourteen days with some logged data before it shows anything, and at least eight days with and eight days without a habit before it suggests a pattern. If you have less, it tells you how far along you are instead of guessing.
Where is my data analysed?
The analysis runs on your device using the mood, habit and journal data already in the app, and you can switch each source off. Only your answers to the questions (related, not sure, not related) are saved to your account, so they follow you across devices. On request, one short AURA AI summary per day phrases the results; it receives only the numbers and habit names shown on screen, and the answer is saved for that day.
Is AURA Life Lab free, and does it use sleep or heart rate?
Life Lab is free and does not read heart rate or any health sensor. It uses the mood, energy, habits and journal you record, plus, if you use them, the sleep hours logged with Blackout in sleep mode and the days you walk with AURA Walk; each source has its own switch. Seven-day experiments pay a small AuraCoins and XP bonus, at most once a week, only if you follow them on at least five of the seven days.
