To begin building your digital collection, unlock your device and open the Aura application from your home screen. With your garage hub open, tap the primary plus button to initiate the vehicle logging sequence. The app will immediately prompt you with a choice between uploading an existing image from your smartphone gallery or capturing a new picture live using your device camera. Select your preferred method and choose a clear, well-lit photograph of the vehicle you want to log. Once the image is selected, the screen shifts to a cropping tool where you can frame the vehicle centrally and adjust the brightness levels if the original shot was taken in shadow or direct glare. Tap the checkmark icon in the corner to confirm the image edit, which instantly saves the visual asset to the core of your new garage listing and generates a preview thumbnail.

After confirming your photo, the interface transitions to the vehicle details form. Here, you will see three distinct text fields labeled Make, Model, and Production Year. Tap the Make field to open a dropdown menu featuring a comprehensive directory of global automotive manufacturers, ranging from mainstream brands to rare boutique hypercar builders. If your specific sighting is a customized or obscure build, you can use the manual keyboard input to type the exact manufacturer name. Repeat this exact process for the Model and Production Year fields. The screen dynamically updates as you type, pulling from an internal database to suggest correct formatting, ensuring your entire garage database remains uniform, professional, and easy to filter during future browsing sessions.

Vehicle context transforms a simple photo into a true spotting record. On the next screen of the setup wizard, you will find options to record the geographical location and the environmental conditions of your sighting. Tap the location field to automatically pull coordinates using your device GPS, or manually type the street name and city where the vehicle was spotted. Below the location box, interactive toggle icons allow you select the lighting and setting, such as daytime street, nighttime event, or rainy highway. The screen displays a live preview card combining your photo, vehicle title, and a small map pin icon, confirming how the entry will appear to visitors viewing your public profile grid once saved.

The final step brings all your inputs together on a comprehensive review screen. Here, you can inspect the thumbnail image, the vehicle make and model, the year, and the location tag all in one unified layout. If you notice a typo in the model name or want to swap the photo for a better angle, simply tap the pencil edit icon next to any field to make instant corrections without losing your progress. Once you are completely satisfied with the entry details, press the bold save button at the bottom of the screen. The application processes the data, animates the entry sliding smoothly into your main garage grid, and returns you to your primary dashboard where your newly logged vehicle is now proudly displayed.
